ONE CHURCH.
TWO LOCATIONS.
If you’ve been searching for a church in or near Gateshead, or perhaps the wider North East, we’d love to see you this Sunday! Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking to deepen your walk with Jesus, there’s a place for you here at Alive Church.
ST GEORGE’S
St George’s was planted in 2016 as a revitalisation plant. What started as a vision has grown into a church family passionate about seeing the church, individuals and our communities Come Alive in Jesus’ name.
We have 2 Sunday gatherings at Alive St George’s, why not join us!
10:30am Gathering - Come and join us as we worship together, hear a relevant and engaging Bible-based talk, and make space for prayer and response. There’s a full kids and youth programme during the gathering, and time to connect over coffee afterwards.
6:30pm Gathering - With students, young adults, and youth at its heart, this evening gathering is vibrant and welcoming. Expect passionate worship, a Bible-based talk, opportunities for prayer ministry, and time to hang out together!

ST CHAD’S
We’re excited to see the story of Alive Church continue to grow as we take on St Chad’s in Autumn 2026, just a mile from our St George’s location, with a heart to serve the people of Bensham and beyond.
Our vision is to see the church, individuals and our communities Come Alive in Jesus’ name, and we believe the local church has a vital role to play in its community, and we’re passionate about building a church that reflects the heart of Alive while serving the community of Bensham.
In January 2027 we have plans to launch a new 4pm Gathering in including provision for children and young people.
We’re excited for this next chapter and all that God has in store for Bensham. This is just the beginning!
10:00am Gathering - Come and join us as we gather together for a shorter gathering, with sung worship, communion and service of the word.
